The Software Development Lead-Data will be well versed in digital-native cloud technologies and will oversee software engineering delivery for a product team. This individual will work cross functionally to ensure engineers can successfully implement technology solutions following Enterprise Technology standards using Agile practices.Responsibilities:Be the technical leader supporting an Agile Product Development team to deliver high quality technology solutions built with cloud database technologies and modern methodsDeliver high level quality as it relates to all aspects of software engineering (continuous integration, code quality, test driven development, adherence to target architecture, etc.)Design and develop core services and components with expertise in service-oriented architectureImplement Enterprise Technology reference architectures, design patterns, and coding best practicesSupport all team members to have the environment, permissions and tools necessary to execute with velocityImprove team velocity and throughput by mentoring and supporting junior team membersDesign and implement n-tiered applications that adhere to quality requirements including but not limited to Reliability, Scalability, TCO, Supportability, etc.Collaborate with other Development teams, Architecture and Support teams to design, and maintain the various platforms and their integration with other systemsRecommend opportunities for application and process improvements and prepare documentation outlining platform road mapMaintain, troubleshoot, optimize and enhance existing systemsWork collaboratively with QA, DevOps teams to adopt CI/CD tool chain and develop automationCommunicate with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product/project supportAssist in technical assessment of risks and issues, and document recommendationsDeveloping appropriate technical documentation in accordance with SDLC guidelinesCommunicate with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product supportStay informed of current and future cloud technological trends and developmentsRequirements:8+ Years of experience within a combination of .Net, SQL Server, AWS (container and sever-less), ETL, API Development and Integration, GitHub, Visual Studio, SSMS, Stored Procedures, SwaggerHub, Database Modeling and Design and Development.5+ years of hands-on experience with database development using Amazon Web Services (AWS) with demonstrated technical understanding of the architectures, patterns, and techniques used to build modern SaaS applications and platforms such as: (AWS Storage expertise (S3, EBS), AWS Database & (DocumentDB, DynamoDB, RDS [PostgreSQL, SQL Server]) & Parquet, Glue)3+ years of senior software development team experience demonstrating the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage team responsibilities in order to meet deadlines and deliver quality technology solutionsPreferences:Excellent Communication and Coaching skills with demonstrated capacity to build consensus and support the Product Delivery TeamExperience with documenting Data Flow diagrams, Stored Procedure Mappings, and other Software Development LifeCycle Artifacts.Experience in migrating databases and APIs from on premise to AWSNote: Any pay ranges displayed are estimations.
