If you are a friendly, motivated person, with a passion to serve others, the Omni Grove Park Inn may be your perfect match.Job DescriptionThe Brand Communications & Events Manager will be responsible for a unique cross-section of marketing disciplines from helping direct and execute brand communications across channels (Earned, Owned, Paid) to planning and overseeing the execution of event programs resort-wide. This position works closely with all Resort departments. Responsibilities

Special Events

Produce on-property Special Events and Holiday Weekends, including pre-planning and physical work during events. Events include The National Gingerbread House Competition, New Year’s Eve, Halloween, etc. Work shifts will include some nights, weekends and holidays.

Lead Special Events related packages (e.g., Fitzgerald Weekend) from start to finish (e.g., booking entertainment, contract negotiations, budget tracking, building Eventbrite tickets, etc.) in lockstep with the marketing team.

Coordinate with all departments to plan, market & promote events.

Responsible for generating Banquet Event Orders, spec sheets, agendas, check requests, special lodging requests and all other necessary paperwork for activities and special events.

Manage external relationships (e.g., vendors/competitors/judges) and maintain files for each special event, including independent contractors, lecturers, artists, entertainers, etc.

Oversees audio historical hotel tours and displays for guests to enjoy.

Facilitator of seasonal hotel décor as well as creative needs for events.

Manages the reserved seating process for ticketed events. Maintains seating charts and diagrams and prepares tickets. Assists other staff in the implementation of the ticket process. Communicates with package holders and ticket purchasers regarding seat requests.

Manages Special Events budget and coordinates communication between department and Purchasing/Receiving, as well as Accounting. Submits project quotes and purchase order requests into BirchStreet on an ongoing basis. Research invoices and monitor variances to department budget. Reports on financial status on a regular basis and executes monthly trial balance.

Brand Communications and Marketing

Work closely with the broader marketing and executive team to help design innovative campaigns/offers, in alignment of the overarching marketing strategy, with the end-goal of driving transient revenue.

Develop and align PR strategy to support the overall marketing vision. Help execute programming across marketing channels (Earned, Owned, Paid), while acting as liaison with select partner agencies & Omni corporate to execute campaigns on-time and efficiently.

Maintain, update & manage communications (internal & external) throughout the Resort in a variety of mediums (e.g., internal memos, guest-facing letters/responses, etc.).

Drive property public relations efforts from media relations, conducting press interviews, writing press releases/materials, and facilitating media/influencer visits, etc.

Produce regular reports with the team on how marketing initiatives drive the business.

Visually proofs, proos, and provides revised copy or corrections for all marketing materials both in print and digitally. Assist in digital audit process.

Assists in the creation of on-property collateral, signage, web updates, social media posts, public relations materials, and other administrative needs as needed. Stay abreast of emerging trends in digital marketing, PR and social media.

Qualifications

College Diploma, plus three (3) years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training, experience and/or education.

Must be willing to work occasional evenings, holidays and weekends, including November 17-21.

Ability to work well & collaborate with cross-functional teams across departments and time zones.

Strong attention to detail, well-organized and ability to deal efficiently under pressure and multi-task while being personable.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills.

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must be willing and able to work in unfavorable weather.

Has proficient knowledge and experience in Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and is comfortable with both Mac and PC platforms.
