Overview

This position in the Commercial Finance Technologies Group is responsible for providing advanced technical and operational business system support. This role requires understanding of Commercial Lending and Loan Servicing from both business and technology aspects, someone who can assess system changes, determine business impacts, and test planning / execution. Experience with business process automation and working with a team of developers and analysts to fast track development and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the user business operating environment, provide consultation with users on automated solutions for current and future needs.
  • Develop quality assurance plans & help with test cases to validate results against specifications
  • Assist with validations to ensure coding deployments are smooth and successful Qualifications
  • Responsible for development of system integration requirements as well as assisting business representatives in preparing their own specific application requirements
  • Ability to concisely and efficiently consolidate business user needs into requirements documentation
  • Technical expertise to assist with recommendations for configuration of the proposed systems/integrations: design and execute test plans
  • Support LoanIQ users with all LoanIQ production support issues. Gather data related to issues and work with vendor on fixes
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operational Support OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operational Support
  • 5+ Years hands on experience of Finastra Loan IQ. Functional LoanIQ experience a must. Working knowledge of LoanIQ GL/Accounting functions, table maintenance and user profile. Extensive knowledge of revolvers (including swingline and LC), term loan and delay draw loan processing. Agented, Non-Agented and Bi-late deals. Loan processing experience a must: deal creation, customer creation, paydowns, increases, repayments, interest, fee and principal payments, paperclips, QLR, CLR, amortization schedules, repayments schedules, auto gen, auto rate fix, circles, amendments, scheduled activity, etc.
  • Background and experience with the Finastra Loan IQ produc
  • Test planning and execution experience
  • Ability to understand, analyze accounting problems, provide solutions, and document Business Requirement, Functional Specifications, and Test Script / Plan artifact
  • Ability to work with developers and business analysts and be a liaison between IT and business teams
  • Understanding of Basic Accounting and a degree will be a plus
  • Strong individual with experience working on multiple Tech & Business projects, a fluent understanding of Commercial Lending based platforms/systems (specifically Loan IQ), a proven ability to work well in a highly dynamic environment. The bank is currently undergoing systems integration / consolidation and significant platform upgrades including the introduction of new features / functions. The Commercial Finance Technology group at CIT is looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Analyst who has the skills, experience, and the right mindset to bridge the gap between business and various technical and non-technical groups. You will primarily be responsible for production support, analyzing the platform, enhancements, and automations available, discovering / documenting / translating business requirements for gaps, and building / executing testing plans
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills which will be leveraged both in terms of understanding and interpreting business needs, as well as resolving these needs into clearly defined problem statements and solutions
  • A demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and solution creation
  • Agile experience is a plus but not required
  • Financial industry/Commercial Lending background required
  • SharePoint, MS Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint), Visio and SQL a plus
