Timmons Group is currently seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to manage for our Commercial Land Development design team in our Raleigh, North Carolina office location.  We are specifically looking for someone to work in our Corporate Retail Development Program working with multisite clients across NC, SC and Va.Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:Manage and track multiple projects with clients in multiple jurisdictionsHighly organized and detail orientedFrequent Communication with client staff is required and expectedDesign portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling, and Civil 3D technologyComplete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers to solve problemsPrepare specifications materials using research and manufacturing catalogs to specify materials, installation, inspection and payment of items specific to a project.Work to complete design details and plan sets with other staffPerform research and writes objective summary reports which are used in the completion of the project work or inspectionAssist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimatesComplete field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staffCommunicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staffSkills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a scientific area and/or equivalent work experienceProfessional registration (P.E., L.S., etc.) in one or more states in which Timmons Group conducts business is preferred8+ years’ experience in civil engineering related specifically to commercial site design4+ years’ experience in civil engineering project management is ideal4+ years’ experience is in the  Triangle land development market is highly preferredMust have a thorough understanding of project accounting and demonstrated ability to manage the schedule and budget for multiple projects at the same timeHas experience in marketing and supervision of the technical work of othersHas a working knowledge of technical and office support software required to perform the essential functions of the positionConsistently presents a professional attitude towards clients and internal staffEffectively communicates with others in the daily completion of tasks or assignmentsStrives to achieve professional working relationships with others and shows a willingness to help others meet critical deadlines
