The Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) team extends Edwards’s leadership into the transcatheter area, providing immediate new treatment alternatives to patients with no or few other alternatives, eventually positioning THV as the treatment of choice for aortic stenosis.In this role, you are responsible for clinical data management (CDM) systems, and programming and execution for multiple clinical trials using multiple computer systems. Our ideal candidates for Clinical Database Programmer are experts in programming, database design, EDC-specific programming, and apply this knowledge to the development of clinical trial databases.This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the United StatesNote: This position is internally titled as a Staff, Clinical Programming.Responsibilities:Provide technical expertise in clinical programming functional area and lead in the development of clinical databases, and tools and programs for data validation checks, and clinical trial reporting in collaboration with key stakeholders

Lead cross functional teams in the design and delivery of complex functional modules and provide clinical programming expertise regarding clinical trials, protocols, and case report forms

Lead the development of specifications for systems and/or processes, system upgrades/enhancements and integration; and engage IT to deliver higher level support to users

Develop and present high-level technical training to end-users, including providing guidance to lower level Clinical Programmers in their training program development.

Identify resource needs for database implementation and participate in the evaluation of external resources/vendors

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree STEM

6 years of experience in clinical research, data management, or software programming (5 years of experience with a Masters Degree in STEM; or 2 years of experience with a PhD)

3 years of clinical database development in Medidata Rave experience

3 years of programming experience in C#

Experience writing test codes

Preferred Qualifications:Project Management experience

Proven expertise in both Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel and CDM (Clinical Data Management) systems

Excellent documentation, communication skills, interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

Experience with EDC (Electronic Data Capture) systems
