- Lead the design and provide oversight of the End-to-End Data Flow and engagements with Business and Tech groups for the Finance and Actuarial Organization
- Support the Data Delivery build-out and provide leadership and functional management to the Development and Support Team
- Lead the creation of Financial Data repositories to support the business for internal and external financial reporting
- Identify Data Quality, business process gaps and improvement opportunities using data to build business value propositions and business cases
- Consult with Data Stewards to collect, publish business terms and business rules
- Establish knowledge transfer sessions and identify opportunities to expand the adoption of Data Governance, Data Quality and Metadata capabilities to the company
- Provide advice and insight on improving data quality and metadata with the business and tech teams
- Analyze/Interpret data requirements and perform current/target/gap/impact analysis
- Liaison between Enterprise Data Management and Finance and Actuarial Data and Process Governance teams
- Articulate business data needs, gaps, impact across all areas and proposals to close gaps
- Identify data anomalies and communicate back to the data stewards
- Ensure the traceability of individual data requirements and adherence to the defined requirements
- Identify/escalate and or manage conflicts, issues and changes in order to appropriately manage scope
- Achieve consensus on scope changes and achieve signoff by all stakeholders
- Investigate, evaluate and support prioritization of client requests for new or existing solutions
- Manage risk associated with application development activities by proactively identifying potential impact to project and take appropriate actions to leverage or mitigate risk
- Strategic alignment: Ensure that performance objectives established for each engagement align with IT and firm strategies and priorities and individual development objectives
- Ensure projects/programs and architecturally align with the business and IT strategies
- 7 + years of experience in data and business analysis and around financial applications especially in Investment Accounting
- Data Management, Metadata and Data Quality experience
- Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Technology
- Production Support of Batched Software Environment
- Knowledge and understanding of data structures, management, and analysis techniques
- structured data, such as entities, classes, hierarchies, relationships, and metadata
- database management system (DBMS) physical implementation, including tables, joins and SQL querying
- Ability to combine data from multiple sources when needed for the analysis
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Financial Applications and their inter-workings
- Management experience working in a fast paced IT environment
- Ability to facilitate and lead technical discussions
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience with PeopleSoft financials modules is a plus
- Knowledge of Oracle Technologies preferred
- Previous experience in using ERWIN preferred
