Computer Operation Analyst in Raleigh, NC. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the probability of hire. SUMMARYWe are searching for a Computer Operation Analyst. You will join the Operations team which monitors, troubleshoots, and remediates any issues with file transfers. The ideal candidate needs to be organized and respond to situations as they are encountered and escalate as needed. Day to day activities include system administration and monitoring for multiple platforms including UNIX and Linux. This position is on-site with no telecommute and located in Raleigh, NC.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitoring and remediating issues with alerts and notifications to support servers and other application tools.
  • Responding to alerts related to file transfer issues or other data issues and remediating these alerts.
  • Assisting partners via email and phone to resolve transfer issues which could be related to server, network, or other infrastructure components.
  • Documenting issues and assisting with root cause analysis as needed.
  • Provide 24x7 support for Enterprise Level Networks.
  • Proactively monitor network status and taking appropriate actions as needed.
  • Work with the incident management team to determine cause of network issues.
  • Trouble shoot network incidents and work to resolve them.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 1 year experience is required. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Intermediate UNIX/LINUX skills (comfortable with UNIX/Linux at the command line)
  • Solid understanding of networking and network troubleshooting
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and remediate any issues.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Understanding of networking and file transfer protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Windows Operations systems, Office suite and Outlook email.
  • Must be U.S. Citizen and eligible for a Public Trust clearance

Shift Hours Wed - 11pm – 8:30am, Thurs - 11pm – 8:30am, Fri - 11pm – 9:30am, Sat - 8pm – 8:30am OR Sun – 8pm – 8:30am, Mon - 11pm – 8:30am, Tues – 11:30pm – 8am, Wed - 11pm – 9:30amAdditionally - There will be a 1–2-month training period that will be M-F first shift 8-5 before migrating to the assigned shift and hours.
