WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
  • Establish collaborative relationships with initiative stakeholders, participants, and support partners
  • Engage with the product and portfolio management teams to guide initiatives through the LOB's initiation (intake) and prioritization process
  • Engage with product and stakeholders to define epic (initiative) scope, specify targeted outcomes, identify cross-functional impacts, and establish an approach for discovery (planning)
  • Facilitate the discovery stage, with key stakeholders, to define requirements, finalize business case, determine Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and conceptualize E2E solutions.
  • Liaise with product and engineering to rationalize preliminary feature estimates to key milestones and approximate MVP delivery timing
  • Facilitate external 3rd party selections, work definition and Statement of Work creation by collaborating with product, architecture, business relationship owners and supply chain partners
  • Manage expectations for MVP delivery timing by developing integrated plans to establish, monitor, manage, and report key milestones throughout discovery and execution
  • Lead prioritization of issues, contributes to issue resolution, facilitates risk management and elevates critical issues / risks for senior leadership resolution
  • Manage scope changes to stay within initiative guardrails, or elevate significant changes for stakeholder approval or trade-off decisioning
  • Create decision frameworks and facilitates stakeholder evaluation of decision options or alternative solutions
  • Monitor and communicate progress throughout the initiative lifecycle to stakeholders, participants, support partners and senior leadership
  • Act as the initiative's liaison to project stakeholders including Technology, Digital, Legal, Compliance, Corporate partners, and other business/IT partners as needed
  • Work with vendor management team(s) to supervise/develop vendor resources, including initiative-related new vendor assessments and onboarding when vendors are critical to delivery

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS Mandatory Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or greater
  • 5 to 7 years' experience or equivalent in one or more: project or program management, agile delivery, technology implementation, or strategic planning
  • Hands-on experience in FinTech organizations and/or banking industry (preferred)
  • Ability to manage initiatives that span from small to large scale in size and complexity, and to tailor approaches accordingly
  • Experience working in varied delivery methodologies or frameworks (e.g., waterfall, iterative, agile Scrum or scaled agile)
  • Ability to thoroughly understand the business issues surrounding each project
  • Ability to operate at varying levels of detail while maintaining an end-to-end solution perspective
  • Ability to manage issues and deliver initiatives within budget, scope (shared accountability with product) and schedule
  • Knowledge of financial estimation and initiative budgeting
  • Experience influencing/managing teams, including senior leadership, matrix partners, 3rd party vendor resources and cross-geographical teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a multi-partner environment, in both written and verbal formats, at all levels and with senior leaders
  • Experience establishing trusted-advisor relationships with key stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Ability to collaborate through ambiguity and complexity to negotiate a shared vision for targeted business outcome(s)
  • Working knowledge of agile tools such as Jira, ADO or JIRA Align (preferred)
  • Highly skilled with MS Office Suite
