- Troubleshooting electrical systems via electrical test equipment (multi-meters, amp probes, data recorders, etc.)
- Interfacing PCs to PLC controllers & troubleshooting via PLCs.
- Troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, and power transmissions systems.
- Read electrical schematics and hardwiring to prints.
- Repair and maintain control systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Develop and implement improvements to control systems to increase efficiency, productivity, and safety
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of new control systems
- Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, maintenance, and production, to identify and resolve issues related to control systems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to control systems
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Controls Technician or similar role in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge and experience troubleshooting PLCs/ladder logic, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with robotic systems and programming is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with others
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required
