Eaton’s Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure Division is currently seeking a Cost Accounting/ERP Specialist to join our team. This position can be based in Raleigh, NC or Chicago, IL.Relocation Assistance will be provided! Position Overview:This role will ensure accurate standard costs and inventory valuation for three manufacturing sites in the Raleigh, NC area. It’s where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential—and where you can help us reach ours.In this role you will:Investigate manufacturing cost variances and implement robust process solutions to eliminate recurring variances across our manufacturing sites in the Raleigh, NC area. This role will partner closely with the site finance leaders.

Ensure accurate standard costs across our manufacturing sites and work with site controllers to update standard costs annually

Review Bills of Materials (BOM) & Routers and work with engineering and operations teams to correct BOMs and Routers

Analyze Error and Obsolete (E&O) inventory to ensure we are properly reserved and provide leadership on ways to mitigate E&O going forward

Ensure inventory is properly stated, internal controls are adequate, and implement process improvements where needed

Exercise leadership over the Physical Inventory (PI) process including preparing the SAP system for PI and ensuring all transactions are properly completed for a clean beginning and ending inventory balance

Work with the operations team to provide reporting and analytics and identify potential cost out opportunities

Lead and understand impact of material economics changes on the Power Quality business for actuals, forecast and profit plan working with the supply chain management team

Demonstrate SAP manufacturing cost and system transaction expertise through documenting key processes and providing training throughout our business.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution

Minimum Five (5) years professional progressive experience in Accounting or Finance related positions

Must be authorized to work in United State without company sponsorship now or in the future

Experience with ERP/SAP systems

Preferred qualifications:Related Master’s Degree or MBA

Manufacturing industry experience

Position Criteria:Demonstrated knowledge of cost accounting

Operate with high regard to financial integrity, trust, confidentiality, ethics

Demonstrate strong working knowledge of financial accounting requirements under U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and Eaton financial policies

Demonstrate attention to detail, personally committed to work quality and able to learn from mistakes

Demonstrate intermediate to expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
