Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Cost Manager in the accounting industry. This role is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and will involve the use of accounting software systems and various accounting functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs and budgets, ensuring accurate records, and interacting with various software systems.Responsibilities: Oversee the implementation and use of accounting software systems such as BlackLine, Chef, CRM, and Crystal Reports Coordinate accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and auditing procedures Manage budget processes to ensure efficient allocation of resources Conduct cost accounting activities to track and control expenses Utilize SAP software for various accounting purposes Process customer credit applications in an accurate and efficient manner Maintain accurate customer credit records and monitor customer accounts Resolve customer inquiries and provide superior customer service Take appropriate action on customer accounts when necessary Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth accounting operations. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with BlackLine software Familiarity with CRM systems Ability to generate reports using Crystal Reports Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) Experience in Auditing processes Knowledge of Budget Processes Proficiency in Cost Accounting Experience with SAP software Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities A degree in finance, business, or a related field Professional certification such as CMA or CPA is a plus Previous experience in a similar role is preferred Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies.
