Job Summary:The Trane Commercial HVAC Sales Enablement and Analytics team is in search of a Data & Analytics Leader to lead building foundational data infrastructure and data assets for our sales organization. Reporting to the Director of Sales Enablement and Analytics, this role is responsible for overseeing building foundational data tables in the Trane Data Cloud (TDC) in Google Cloud Platform. This role is also responsible for overseeing design of data ingestion / integration processes upstream and downstream from TDC to support business needs.The ideal candidate has experience overseeing construction of data infrastructure at a large, complex organization with numerous source systems and data warehouses. He or she is excellent at translating business needs into data projects, knows how to develop schemas to support a sales organization, and balances technical skill with business acumen. This role can be hybrid in our Davidson, NC office or virtual in the US (Eastern or Central time).Responsibilities:

Lead the transformation to sustainable data infrastructure in our big data environment, Trane Data Cloud, in the Google Cloud Platform for the Trane Commercial HVAC sales organization.

Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy to support the organization's goals, especially with customer and asset data.

Build and maintain a strong data infrastructure, including data warehouses, ETL processes, and data models.

Design and manage data pipelines, workflows, and data integration processes to enable efficient data movement across systems and platforms.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including enterprise IT, to define and implement data collection, storage, and retrieval processes.

Lead a team of data architects, engineers, and/or contractors.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

7-10 years of experience in a data and analytics role, preferably at a large complex organization, and preferably in big data

Expertise in programming in SQL and Python

Proven track record in building scalable and reliable data infrastructure, preferably in Google Cloud Platform

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
