Analyst

Introduction: Responsible for aggregate data management. Produces reports and analyze data to develop trends to reduce waste and increase inventory efficiencies. Prepares forecasting and planning against financial targets. Support and drive business strategies and operations. Ensure inventory practices support financial objectives with a balance between low costs and operating efficiency. Control the operating procedures for inventory to help manage the wastes and losses of inventory value.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing and Reporting
    • Responsible to create and maintain inventory management master data tables for P/N level analysis.
    • Generate monthly inventory reports through a combination of data manipulation and business intelligence tools
    • Analyze inventory reports to identify root cause variances and provide countermeasures to influence improvements for inventory optimization.
    • Through analytics address inventory opportunities with procurement to reduce order sizes, cancel POs when demand shrinks, and question lead times or supply reliability
    • Present monthly dashboards/reports to executive management
    • Support daily requests from the business including but not limited to adjustments, research, and analysis of data.
  • Financial Objectives
    • Create monthly forecasts and a yearly budget for inventory, inventory loss and reserved material.
    • Liaison between finance, operations and planning to compare forecast versus actual performance and communicate progress, risks, and impacts to inventory metrics/targets/ for reserves.
    • Create quarterly reserve recommendation based on operational, planning and sales insight
    • Receipt In quarterly inventory from distributor through a process called Buy Back
    • Develop, own and drive to meet company KPIs and departmental performance indicators for inventory to deliver cost savings to improve Turns/DOI.
  • Excess Objectives
    • Create project plans to drive EOL product disposition initiatives.
    • Calculate, identify, and execute excess and obsolete inventory for parts and features through rebalancing across other inventory organizations, broker to third party vendors or follow scrap process.
    • Disposition initiatives require collaborating frequently with other support functions of operations Portfolio and Sales team.
    • Responsible to manage the scrap process with warehouse, procurement and supplier to ensure CODs are recorded and financial transactions completed.
  • Owns and maintains accurate written procedures and policies for all main inventory control processes and functions to ensure audit readiness.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills, to be able to handle ad hoc projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing workload.
