Modis is seeking to fill a Data Analyst position to assist in large projects while being responsible for ETL development, script writing and SQL query development. This position will be involved in the day-to-day production support, maintenance, and development of the existing corporate data warehouse, operational transactional data models, and data marts to support new and existing applications. Specific duties and responsibilities of the Hybrid Data Analyst role include:Works with Senior Staff to develop logical data model (LDM) & physical data model (PDM) to support the Data Warehouse OLAP and BI applications. Extracts, transforms and loads data derived from disaggregated data sources to support the business requirements. This could be done by using tools such as ETLs, scripts, DB2 import/export features and COBOL program. Responsible for file transfer protocol (FTP) of data files to and from outside vendors as well as Responsible for writing and maintaining window scripts Develops and maintains Actuate reports and BI dashboards that provide reporting across the entire business; continually review and ensure data integrity for all reports. Collaborates with team member to analyze and solve data and/or process issues while maintaining batch job flow, data process flow and other design documentations. Minimum requirements and experience for this Hybrid Data Analyst role are: At least three years of experience with tools such as SQL and ETL. Full life cycle experience on large projects. Knowledge of Data Warehousing methodologies and concepts, including and not limited to star schemas, snowflakes, and dimensional modeling. Four-year degree and three years programming experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Experience: ? Experience in a development and analysis role in an enterprise setting. Ability to work in a team environment, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks independently with supervision. An effective time management skill is essential. Understanding of how the three types of data models (conceptual, logical and physical) are used while progressing from requirements to the actual database design used by the application system. Strong SQL/DB2 knowledge will be required for writing efficient SQL to obtain data. Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Tableau. Hands-on experience using or other reporting tools. Experience with FTP tool such as MOVEit. Strong oral and written communication skills.
