DTS is looking for experienced Data Analyst (Data Governance/MDM) for a Direct Client position based in Charlotte, NC

Position DescriptionThe Enterprise Data Management Analyst role is responsible for overseeing, promoting, and increasing enterprise data knowledge.The selected candidate will be tasked to support the Data to Intelligence initiatives and drive one source of truth culture by identifying authoritative data stores. building out the master data management function including data ingestion, meta-data design and implementation, data transformations, data analytics and data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of proven data management experience including master data management, data analytics, data governance, and data modeling. Job Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain appropriate data models and structures in support of analytics, data profiling, metadata, and lineage documentation.
  • Assist & support metadata and documentation standards, data naming standards, and data integration strategy.
  • Design and develop high quality processes and procedures to ensure effective availability, definition, and integrity of enterprise data assets.
  • Work with project teams to develop and document information requirements and business rules in the form of conceptual and logical data models, data lineage maps, data flow diagrams, and formulate the data architecture to meet business information requirements and support the business rules.
  • Work with data stewards to define data quality testing rules, develop reference data and master data to support business initiatives and projects.
  • Analyze and profile data to identify new business opportunities and others to implement a solution that impacts business in a positive manner.
  • Collaborate with the data owners from multiple business lines to define data transformation and data integration rules to build the program in support of data integration.
  • Identify and propose new data sources to enhance the breadth and quality of the data captured and processed.
  • Interface with multiple IT and business groups to enforce technical and data management standards that include data integrity, normalization, database maintenance, standardization.
  • Identify and design solutions to resolve quality issues including data integrity, accuracy, consistency and completeness in an efficient and timely manner, for data used by multiple business units
  • Support the vision for master data management for the company with a focus on how to utilize data to achieve exceptional customer experience through data standardization and information management.

Mandatory Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of data management and data analysis experience
  • Expert and proven experience with SQL programming
  • Proven experience with Data Warehousing, and Data Migration Projects
  • Hands on experience creating source to target mapping documents, data modeling
  • Working experience with project management tools like Jira, Confluence, MS Teams, and ServiceNow
  • Strong background and understanding of enterprise information management, including metadata, reference data, data quality, data lineage practices and big data solutions

Desired Skills:
  • 2+ years in financial services industry
  • Working knowledge of Python, SAS, R and other analytical tools a plus
  • Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, AWS, and Cloudera Hadoop experience a plus
  • MDM experience on Party, Account, Product data domains a plus
  • Data visualization tools (tableau, Power BI) a plus
