RESPONSIBILITIES:A Kforce client is seeking a Data Engineer in Durham, NC.
REQUIREMENTS: A proven foundation in Data Engineering - Bachelor's degree + preferred; 10+ years of experience Data Streaming & Messaging Technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, SNS, SQS) Event Driven application design and development using Kafka Strong background in distributed design patterns and critical thinking skills to design end-to-end solutions Experience with Relational and NoSQL databases is a plus Experience and comfort working in an agile environment (Scrum and Kanban) Cloud-native REST API development using Java, Maven, Stash, Spring Boot and OpenAPI standards Experience with code quality and analysis tools like Sonar/Veracode Experience with cloud-based high-stream event messaging/Kafka (ex. market open) implementations and managing concurrency Ownership of the entire secure SSDL, and extensive experience with DevOps CI/CD practices, TDD, BDD, automated security and quality testing, modern test and mock frameworks and service virtualization tools, like Wiremock/Parasoft, to rapidly deliver, measure, and iterate features to customers while minimizing risk using practices like A/B tests, blue-green deployments, and feature toggles Ability in influencing and partnering with architects, engineers, and product teams to deliver scalable robust application solutions Excellent communication and influencing skills to facilitate collaboration across technology and business partners without having a direct authority over people Curious, motivated, can-do attitude, self-directed, proactive, and results oriented Cloud (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) certifications are a plusKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
