DBA - Hadoop

This is a Hybrid role onsite ( Iselin or Charlotte)Looking for a DBA to support mission critical Datacenter Maintenance project with administration skills in Cloudera Distributed Hadoop eco-system, this is highly demanding role and requires advanced knowledge in HA/DR & backup/restore scenarios.Required Skills:Candidate should have experience with below skillset:

• Extensive experience in High Availability & Disaster Recovery Scenarios
• Solid hands-on experience with Database technologies supporting 24x7 business critical applications –Hadoop/Oracle
• Provide DBA support on all aspects of databases administration including provisioning, backup/recovery, replication, deployment and real time production troubleshooting responsibilities on Hadoop/Oracle
• Well versed with Database architecture Oracle
• Extensive knowledge of backup & recovery and Data Center switchover/Failover scenarios
• Deep knowledge of industry-standard, enterprise-class best practices for a large database environment
• Maintains and manages Hadoop clusters
• Proficient in setting up BDR ( Replication across DR site)
• Manage and maintain Hadoop clusters for uninterrupted job
• Check, back-up, and monitor the entire system, routinely
• Ensure that the connectivity and network are always up and running
• Plan for capacity upgrading or downsizing as and when the need arises
• Manage HDFS and ensure that it is working optimally at all times
• Secure the Hadoop cluster in a foolproof manner
• Regulate the administration rights depending on the job profile of users
• Add new users over time and discard redundant users smoothly
• Have full knowledge of HBase for efficient Hadoop administration
• Be proficient in Linux scripting and also in Hive, Oozie, and HCatalog
• Excellent automation experience with Python, YAML, Unix Shell scripting, etc.
• Candidate should be flexible to work off hours and weekends
• Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience working with Cloud technologies (AWS | Azure | Google Cloud Platform) , Datastore products in IaaS or PaaS/RDS offerings (Oracle, MSSQL, Aurora, PostgreSQL, Atlas, Snowflake etc.) a big plus
