This clinical instructor position requires a passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering the growth of our diverse student body.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesA Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, or a related discipline applicable to teaching hospitality and tourism management at the undergraduate level. An MBA will also be considered.

A minimum of five years of university teaching experience, preferably in lodging and event management.

Demonstrated experience working with adult learners and nontraditional students.

Experience in academic advisement, guiding students through their educational journey.

Experience with course and curriculum development.

Corresponds with online students on a regular and as needed basis.

Monitors student files for compliance with curriculum and graduation requirements.

Maintenance and updating of student program plans and course projections.

Processes new admissions and provides oversight for online student registration.

Reviews and evaluates schedule of course proofs for online courses.

Serves on several University and SOB Committees.

Supports coordination and planning and participate in online student orientations.

Minimum Education/ExperienceA Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, or a related discipline applicable to teaching hospitality and tourism management at the undergraduate level. An MBA will also be considered.

Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies to enhance enrollment in the online program, in collaboration with the department chair.

Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair.
