Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tier 3 Desktop Support Technician to join our team. As a Tier 3 Desktop Support Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's desktop computing environment. You will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining a reliable network connection. Provide desktop support to end users, both in person and remotely, to resolve hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
Perform system imaging and deployment of desktops and laptops, ensuring consistent and standardized configurations.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
Install, upgrade, and configure Windows operating systems, including Windows 10, and ensure compatibility with existing applications and systems.
Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory and Office 365, ensuring appropriate access levels are maintained.
Assist with basic networking tasks, such as troubleshooting network connectivity issues, setting up and maintaining network printers, and configuring network settings on desktops and laptops.
Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements.
Document support activities, technical solutions, and procedures for future reference.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Sr. Desktop Support Technician or similar role.
Solid knowledge and experience in imaging and deploying desktops and laptops.
Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
Proficient in Windows operating systems, particularly Windows 10, and familiarity with Active Directory management.
Experience with Office 365 administration, including user management, email configuration, and troubleshooting.
Basic understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Strong customer service orientation and a patient, professional demeanor.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Proactive and detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or similar certifications are a plus.
