Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for an ASAP Start in Raleigh, NC.

This opportunity is at a sawmill in Raleigh and is seeking a diesel mechanic to maintain and repair equipment related to delivery trucks and diesel equipment.

PAY: $25-$35 (based upon experience)

HOURS: Shifts will be 8 hour days starting at 7AM

SCHEDULE: Work will be Monday-Friday; at least 40 hours per week

START DATE: ASAP

DURATION: This is a temp-to-perm position

Diesel Mechanic Job Description:

Responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on diesel-powered vehicles, including heavy-duty trucks, and construction equipment, by performing maintenance checks, identifying faults, replacing worn parts, and ensuring proper functionality of engine, transmission, braking, and electrical systems through diagnostic testing and hands-on repairs; requiring strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical data.

Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems.

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment.

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.

Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.

Qualifications for Diesel Mechanic:

Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.

Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Must have PPE & tools

Additional Requirements for Diesel Mechanic:

Must be eligible to work in the United States

Must have reliable transportation to the job site

Drug and background screen required
