Location 4: Winston Salem, North Carolina, US• Perform component engineering analysis in alternate selection for Obsolescence, Field failure and Material compliance.• Provide design solutions engineering issues in circuits of medical devices.• Make engineering change order and needed support documents to complete the change• University degree with high focus on Electrical Engineering like B.S., M.S.• Experience in design/testing/manufacturing/operations of medical devices• Extensive experience in Hardware design• Experience in Component Engineering • From Concept to Launch, be responsible for the electronic hardware design and development activities of Medical Device Equipment• This includes but not limited to circuit design, schematic design, PCB design, assembly procedures, test plans, testing, reports, installation/service guides, and other documentation related to design and development of medical electrical equipment • Develop strategy to validate resulting design against requirements including the development of design verification test procedures• Be responsible for the overall quality of the hardware incorporated in the system, communicating progress and challenges during the development with functional and project management and completing development on the agreed-to schedule and budget• Ensure designs are compliant with requirements of IEC 60601 series of technical standards and other applicable standards• Perform electrical safety analysis and troubleshooting of ME equipment• Perform risk analysis at the component and system levels• Must work and interact freely and professionally with and for others • Provide mentorship to engineers and technicians• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards

Key Skills and Experience Required• University degree with high focus on Electrical Engineering like B.S., M.S. (preferred) • Minimum of 5 years of engineering work experience in medical device field • General understanding of medical device design and development with focus on design controls• Circuit design and analysis experience, including knowledge of best practices for implementing electrical safety within a medical device• Understanding of electrical design for assembly and service• Familiarity of QS requirements for medical devices (CFR 820, ISO13485, EN14971)
