Job Summary/Company:

A Sparks Group Partner is seeking an Engineer (Application Development) to join their team. Currently, this position is remote due to COVID, but they will be returning to the office in January. Responsibilities:

  • Work with Architects, Information Security, Infrastructure and Operations to make changes to the system
  • Work with the team to maintain detailed functional and technical specifications and user guides
  • Lead the design and development of system enhancements, perform level 3/4 production support, troubleshoot and correct issues
  • Ensure adherence to change management and risk policies
  • Become a subject matter expert on the system and act as a mentor for the rest of the development team
  • Manage multiple high-priority items at one time

Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • In-depth knowledge of Unix (preferably RHEL), Java, Spring, and JavaScript
  • Experience developing and supporting large, mission-critical transaction processing applications
  • Experience working with XML and JSON documents
  • Experience working in a regulated environment with a Secure-SDLC and implementing checkpoints and processes for building and deploying code within that regulated environment
