As the Engineer, Technology Network, you will be responsible for monitoring the health of mission critical systems associated with both internal infrastructure and customer facing systems. You will work closely within the department and various tech teams to ensure our monitoring solutions are applied in a deliberate, measured, and precise way. What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Foster and leverage formidable insight into internal and external infrastructure to facilitate escalation, resolution, and documentation of incidents/issues
  • Assist in execution of change controls, regular patching, and maintenance of network infrastructure
  • Coordinate field tech resources to troubleshoot and/or install new network infrastructure
  • Take ownership to solve problems directly or coordinate problem resolution between internal/external parties
  • Monitor incident tickets/service requests and respond in a timely manner
  • Participate in long-term projects to improve internal tools, infrastructure, and procedures.
  • Order network circuits and be involved in the build process
  • Be involved in network and site development/move projects, large and small
What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 1 year of applicable Network/Service Operations experience
It'd be great if you also have:
  • 1 to 2 years of applicable Network/Service Operations
  • Direct experience with network monitoring and ticketing software
  • Proficiency with productivity software and various web browsers
  • Flexible schedule, this position will involve weekend and evening support during on call rotation
  • Experience with monitoring software/tools (Solarwinds NPM, infoblox)
  • Experience with DHCP, DNS, Subnetting, carrier ticketing portals
  • Ability to work carrier/network issues to resolution.
  • Experience with Cisco command line, iWAN/SDWAN/ACI, DMVPN, WiFi, Avaya/Cisco switching
