Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Essbase Software Engineer for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities :

Developing and supporting Essbase Solutions
Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.
Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines.
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs

Required Skills :

5+ years of Software Engineering experience
5+ years of Essbase experience with 11.x or 21c, including ASO, BSO
5 + years of experience writing relational database queries for stored procedures, query optimization and performance tuning
Experience building complex automation processes with one of the 3 applications (CA Autosys\Automate BPA\IBM Workscheduler)
In depth experience with the full life-cycle of multidimensional-based financial reporting and analytical application projects including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, production rollout, documentation, and maintenance.

Preferred Skills :

5+ years of application production support experience
5+ years of financial services industry experience
Database design & development experience including but not limited to creating outlines, load rules, calculation scripts, report scripts, MaxL scripts, MDX formulas, and security filters
Experience with Relational database design and development experience including but not limited to database modeling, writing scripts for creation of tables, views, indexes, stored procedures and building SSIS packages for ETL
Working knowledge of financial metadata and hierarchies
Working knowledge of financial metadata and hierarchies.
Exposure to Oracle DRM, IBM Work Scheduler, CA Autosys, Automate BPA
Experience working within the construct of an Agile Development Approach
Experience in API development (Java, REST)
Experience scripting with Python
Experience using Jira
1+ year of leadership experience including coaching, training, and mentoring
