Fiber Service Technician-Mobile Job Description Brightspeed is looking for a Fiber Service Technician-Mobile to join our team! As a Fiber Service Technician-Mobile, you will primarily be performing fiber installation tasks related to connecting customers to our flagship fiber product.  In this important role you will be required to travel into markets to assist in order completion, work varying shifts that include mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays.  As a Fiber Service Technician-Mobile your responsibilities will include:  Mobility.  Travel (in-state and out-of-state) is required for this position and will be frequent as we align our workforce with where the order volume is highest.  Installing fiber based high-speed internet for consumer customers. Performing maintenance and repair on outside plant facilities where necessary to facilitate installation. Climbing poles, using a shovel and pick to dig up and bury cable, working in utility access holes or controlled environmental vaults (CEV), and locating buried telephone cables Managing a weekly per diem in support of travel expenses Observing all safety rules and regulations Assisting other technical personnel in the performance of their duties when requested Actively supporting sales and marketing related activities Directing customer facing work and sales referrals
