Job Description

Perform sales and service field work in Canada to sell and secure new business and to coordinate with technical engineering to determine customer needs.

Serves as primary support liaison between customer and company Conveys customer feedback to manager Possesses knowledge of company’s product and other applications used by customers Operates under moderate supervision Involved in placing machines into service, any additional follow up, testing and troubleshooting Responsible for performing demo shows before groups of customers or employees of organization Ability to train customer to safely operate and maintain company’s product Responsible for appropriate referral to other support and quality assurance areas Promotes and maintains a high quality, professional, service-oriented company image among customers Must be willing to travel 90% domestically Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

II. Basic Qualifications

A. EducationLevel I – A degree is not required. A minimum of two years of related experience as a mechanic in heavy manufacturing or service related field.

Level II – A degree is not required. A minimum five years of related experience.

Level III – Associates degree and five years related experience or no degree and minimum of ten years of related experience.

III. Preferred Qualifications

A. Education or Experience Associates degree in mechanical, electrical or hydraulic disciplines 1-3 years of mechanical, electrical or hydraulic disciplines

B. Interpersonal Skills Excellent customer service skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data Ability to write in a clear and concise manner Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization during demonstrations or classroom sessions.

C. Technical Skills Railroad or heavy industrial maintenance experience is preferred Proficient PC skills for testing and troubleshooting Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and understand blue prints and schematics to include electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic Knowledge and experience with DC electrics, mobile hydraulics, and computer control systems Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Bilingual competency is a plus Basic math skills

D. Other Skills Ability to effectively plan and organize Must possess valid drivers license
