This position provides leadership and support for the Bank's efforts in fintech investing and partnerships. This includes assisting in the development of strategies; analyzing potential fintech investment opportunities; managing relationships with fintech companies, partners, prospects, investees, etc.; interacting with teams across the Bank to identify needs and use cases; and analyzing industry trends and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the Bank's portfolio of fintech investments (direct and through funds) and prospects.
  • Develop strategies related to the Bank's interactions with fintechs including identifying pilot and proof of concept programs; connecting new technologies across the Company; and working with other leaders on target state capabilities.
  • Interact with leaders in the fintech venture space, founders, and banking technology to understand and track emerging trends, new companies, and opportunities for the Bank.
  • Ongoing interaction with partners across the Bank and within the financial services industry to create awareness and education opportunities related to fintech and emerging technology in banking.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and research

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree; Masters preferred
  • 4-6 years of related experience
  • Strategy experience with fintech connectivity. Some experience in venture investing, investment analysis, or similar fields
  • Heavy work in strategic thinking and building alternative strategic models and direct experience in fintech
  • Background in venture investing and/or investment banking preferred
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with various data analytics tools that may include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, R, Python, and/or other similar tools. High level of comfort with Microsoft PowerPoint is required; experience with other presentation tools is beneficial
  • Ability to travel as needed for relevant meetings
