The candidate needs to be within commuting distance to downtown Raleigh. They will need to be in the office a minimum of one day per month with the rest of the team and eventually two days per month. There may be times when they need to be in the office more than that and on short notice - the day prior. Description:The Federal Communications Commission has released a statewide dataset on broadband serviceable locations, along with a challenging process that states can use to change and/or update the locations on the map. Locations need to be accurate on the FCC map to allow for funding programs to expand broadband across the state to the exact locations that are in need. This position will need to follow established processes for leveraging NC Statewide GIS datasets for parcels, addresses, building footprints, and other location-specific data to identify problems with the FCC Broadband Serviceable Location dataset.
