Currently seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic for our company in Wilmington. You would maintain all of our trucks and heavy equipment for our Heavy Construction and Utilities company. Most of the work will be completed in the field.
Job Requirements:
Experienced in the repair and maintenance of diesel engine vehicles and heavy duty equipment and also small engines according to factory and dealership specifications.
Ability to Perform duties in an efficient and professional manner.
Strong communication skills, professional conduct, and dedicated work ethic.
Must have own tools. We will provide a service truck with boom lift.
We are looking for a high energy self-starter that can make decisions, requires only limited supervision and work in a team environment.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
Use computer to conduct and interpret diagnostic test results.
3-5 years of experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of heavy duty and small equipment and fleet vehicles
Possess appropriate tool set
Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
Replace or repair damaged and malfunctioning parts after doing inspection.
Do routine maintenance
Inspect the parts and systems that make up the machine or vehicle.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Reviews, completes repairs identified on Work Orders.
Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
Must keep records of repairs and service operations
Maintains and operates equipment such as hand tools, power tools, service vehicles, utility vehicles, tractors, mowers, trailers, pressure washers, pumps, generators, saws and heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders and backhoes.
Welding and fabrication
Willing to work overtime as required.
Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
Keeps shop and work area clean and safe.
Replenishes shop supplies; picks up repair parts from various locations.
Team player with can-do attitude with excellent communication skills both verbally and written,
Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and representatives of other organizations
Valid driver's license
