Job Description

As aHuman Resources Intern, you will have the opportunity to:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the interviewing and hiring process for both salary, hourly, and temp roles throughout the company
  • Assist in new hire orientation
  • Participate on teams to develop programs in leadership development and training
  • Drug screen scheduling, employment verification and background checks
  • Filing personnel and medical files, including I-9 and termination paperwork while following document retention policy
  • Create and/or post announcements, plant communications and newsletters
  • Help facilitate and participate in company events and morale activities (community involvement, holiday events, etc.)
  • Attend and participate in meetings (HR staff meetings, Town Hall meetings, etc.)
  • Complete projects and tasks as assigned
  • Provide assistance as needed to support the HR Team and LexingtonOperations

A successfulHuman Resources Intern will meet the following requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in OLS, Business, or related degree (preferred)
  • Proficient computer skills – experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook & Excel) required
  • Desire to work in manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Reliable transportation
