Information Technology Transportation Mgt Project Manager REMOTE

Description:Why the need:

Our manufacturing client's PMO has some uncovered workstreams that require additional PM support

They need will be focusing on three core areas/efforts:

OTM/Transportation Management/Supply Chain

Running integration work in the TMS space

Supply Chain, TMS/OTM apps experience a plus

Kickoff an API-management solution project from inception

Review current vendors’ capabilities in the API/endpoint space

Work with Technology Architecture team to devise, scale and size a solution

Run project through API services implementation

Program Management responsibilities

They require some oversight of a few projects within Enterprise IT to ensure projects and timelines are being properly administered

Work closely with an array of PMs on their book of projects and manage delivery expectations for the PMO

Top Skills' Details

Strong enterprise technology PMO PM skills (MS Project/PMO tenure)

PPM/UMT360 project tracking a plus, but not required

Some Agile project management

They run Wagile – first phase is typically Waterfall and they blend-in Agile processes for 2nd and 3rd phase delivery

Someone who has been 100% Agile for years is not likely going to be a fit

Strong communication skills critical – both written and visually via Teams

Will be presenting to leadership and executives, so professional, polished comm skills required

Quick learner (fast to learn tools and processes), highly personable, ability to identify solutions quickly, etc.

Proactive mindset – the PMO leader does not like people who send emails and check a box – in order to be effective at Trane, one needs to pick up the phone or devise ways of tracking down key stakeholders

Will work remotely, predominately EST – OK for folks to be in EST, CST and potentially MST

Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Transportation Management systems, all a plus – above all, he wants a top-tier, engaging and personable PM who can effectively manage workstreams concurrently
