Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Hands on Implementation and Management of all aspects of the IT architecture and associated technologies: Networking/reliability, Server Management, Storage Area Network Management, Private Data Center, Patch Management, Licensing and building integrated technologies (Access Control, Telephony, Security, etc)
  • Assess and understand the existing technology infrastructure and its capabilities.
  • Perform gap analysis for future systems, identify and evaluate solutions and sourcing alternatives; develop high level designs and plans and prepare solution budget estimates and business cases.
  • Manage and maintain servers, computers, routers and other network hardware.
  • Manage and maintain software systems, including but not limited to network security, active directory, email, office applications, websites, ftp sites, etc.
  • Establish strategic plans for development of new network enhancements in line with corporate objectives for growth of products and services.
  • Develop and produce support materials for staff and client in concert with other departments.
  • Develop and implement RFP's for major purchases.
  • Monitor computers and servers, respond to network emergencies and outages.
  • Assist in researching, developing, and implementing any new hardware or software platforms.
  • Setup and perform training on software and hardware for staff.
  • Diagnose and repair desktop and server issues.
  • Develop, maintain relationships with related vendors.
  • Attend trade shows and seminars as needed.
  • Work a minimum average of 44 onsite weekly hours.
Other duties and responsibilities as needed by employer from time to time.

  • Lead the company's technology direction through the selection of key vendors and manage vendor relationships.
  • Proactively strive to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of workflow throughout the organization through strong coordination and communication across disciplines and departments.
  • Acts as a resource to the various enterprise committees in obtaining required data needed for strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with executives on the development, implementation and integration of technology projects.
  • Guide the development, implementation and maintenance of the plans, policies and procedures required to support day-to-day operations. This will include system redundancy, disaster recovery, risk mitigation and business continuity.
  • Coordinate IT investment plan and IT budget(s) for the company's IT infrastructure and staff.
  • Evaluate new tools or technologies introduced through executive leadership to ensure compliance with company standards, practices and constraints.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data residing on or transmitted to/from/through enterprise workstations, servers and other systems and in databases and other data repositories.
  • Ensure the compliance to enterprise security policy.
  • Ensure technology practices adhere to regulatory standards and/or requirements including writing policies and controls for such (such as SOCT2, NIST, FISMA, etc).
  • Respond to 24-hour/7-day-a-week service needs ensuring follow-through resolution of issue.
  • Reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
