job summary:
Summary- Information Technology Auditor responsible for identifying, evaluating, and reporting on technology risks associated with enterprise infrastructure supporting critical financial services applications.
- The Infrastructure IT Auditor is responsible for independently executing multiple areas of test work during assigned audit activities with guidance from the Auditor-in-Charge and/or senior audit staff. Successful Infrastructure IT Auditors will utilize analytical skills and product/technical expertise necessary to identify risks, perform risk assessments, develop audit test procedures to evaluate those risks, and report findings to management. Infrastructure IT Auditors actively contribute during team audit activities, identify control deficiencies, and exercise critical thinking and judgment to effectively influence management to improve the control environment.
- Infrastructure IT Auditors are expected to have a solid understanding of IT risk and control concepts and technology processes, have industry knowledge and awareness as well as a foundational knowledge of IT Governance and Management practices.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years in an IT Audit / Assurance Role or similar background in Risk Management, Information Security, or Technology Engineering / Operations.
- Understanding of audit practices and methodologies as well as rules for professional and ethical conduct.
- Ability to think critically and apply audit and technical expertise.
- Ability to plan, execute, and evaluate audit test plans within a risk-based audit methodology.
- Sound organizational, analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple work efforts and to quickly change direction.
- Ability to work in a very detailed manner.
- Understanding of technology process and control frameworks used in the industry (COBIT, ITIL, ITSM, NIST CSF, etc.)
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with one or more infrastructure technologies (Cloud Computing, Networking, Midrange Systems, Database Systems, Middleware/Messaging, Mainframe, etc.)
- analytical skills, using SQL, Excel, Python, Alteryx or similar tools to analyze large amounts of data
- Current Professional IT audit certification (CISA, CISSP, CDSPE, GSNA, etc.)
- Current Technology related certification (COBIT, ITIL, Cisco, Microsoft, Red Hat)
- Audit / Assurance or operational experience in large scale enterprise environment
