Interns are assigned to a functional area for a 10-week assignment. Each assignment will offer the opportunity for the students to work on defined projects, develop leadership skills and interact with associates across all levels of the organization. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, execute, and complete special projects as assigned.

Gains industry knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments.

Develops skills needed for career in industrial distribution.

Supports assigned manager with business project work.

Presents intern project results to business leaders.

Perform independent research.

Manage and maintain vendor relationships.

Provide business assistance to various groups within the Supply Chain departments.

Work cross-functionally with product management, marketing, pricing, and supply chain teams.

Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma required.

Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, with a major in Industrial/Supply Chain Engineering preferred.

Excellent academic record.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

A valid driver’s license is required.
