Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Java Developer for a Credit Risk Team for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Investment Banking clients in Midtown NYC. Past experience in C is HIGHLY preferred as the project will involve migrating from legacy C to a modernized Java environment. Candidates must be fully vaccinated and able to work onsite from day one (this will likely be a hybrid model of 2-3 days a week onsite vs remote) Responsibilities :

  • You will build high quality software in conformance with coding standards, standard method-ologies and build processes.
  • You will work with tech leads, business analytics, project manager and release manager.
  • You will take active part in code design and reviews.
  • You will absorb and gain meaningful subject expertise and with time, help more junior devel-opers.
  • You will take part in Proof of Concept sub-projects to investigate new technologies.
  • You will participate in software design sessions and consultations.
  • You will influence architecture and technology stack changes
Required Skills : Experienced and innovative technical senior Java developer is required to work on Insight 2.0 & In-sight legacy system, with following Core skills:
  • Strong hands on experience Java
  • Experience in Multi-threading, Data structures.
  • Experience working on relational database (SQL, PL-SQL).
  • Experience working on UNIX / Linux.
  • Experience working on GIT/SVN.
Preferred Skills :
  • Experience in C
  • Experience in Python.
  • Experience in DevOps tool chain.
  • Experience in Apache Kafka, in-memory cache/database technologies for ex. Redis, Hazelcast
