We are looking for top engineering talent as we design and build the platform. The role involves working in an agile team, in a highly collaborative and engaging environment and being adaptable to shifting priorities.The Expertise We’re Looking For8+ years’ experience developing with Java2+ years’ experience developing with ScalaUnderstanding of and experience in Asset Management – nice to haveAs software engineer, delivering software using agile development practicesExperience in Spring, Restful Web services, JMS, Maven, JenkinsExperience in Continuous Integration and Continuous delivery (CI/CD) patterns using cloud infrastructure.Superb communication & presentation skillsThe Skills You BringYou are a strong contributor with a collaborative work styleYou are a Java specialist and can write high performance (CPU and Memory optimized) code.You understand RESTful API principles and have experience designing and developing RESTful API’s using SpringYou are a Scala professional with 2 or more years of hands-on development experienceYou have experience designing and developing actor models, preferably using AkkaYou understand and value automated unit testing and code analysis tools (preferably Junit), and have worked in an environment where adherence to code quality and coverage standards is enforcedYou have experience using AWS tools and working in a cloud-based infrastructure.You have worked on SCRUM / Agile teamsYou have experience working with Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD), preferable using FitNesseYou can accurately measure and track the performance of components throughout development and troubleshoot degradations in performanceYou have experience using and configuring continuous integration and continuous delivery products, preferably JenkinsYou have an understanding of messaging frameworks such as Kafka and EMS.You understand best engineering practices and have an aptitude to coach and mentor junior engineers.You are able to clearly detail design options and decisions, and present these in an organized manner to technical as well as non-technical audiences

Special Instructions: Still a priority need. Management has approved a rate increase.This team is looking for a candidate with strong Java, RESTful Web Services, Spring skills and hands on experience with Scala. The Scala expertise is the key to this role and where the team is currently lacking.
