Operations Manager Job Summary
Nice, clean, fully attended laundromat is looking for an Operations Manager to run day to day operations. This position is responsible for making sure that the company delivers 5-Star customer service to all of our clients at all times to ensure the impeccable customer experience. It requires someone who has the leadership skills to be able to maintain an organized and very clean, well-run, safe facility. It includes mentoring team members and finding ways to increase the quality of customer service and implementing best practices across all areas. It also includes preforming troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance of the washers, dryers and related equipment. This position reports directly to the owner.
Responsibilities and Duties
Ensure the impeccable customer experience
Assist customers who are doing their own laundry with equipment & laundry cards
Managing and ensuring quality of our wash dry fold services for individual customers and commercial clients
Managing employees – weekly shift scheduling and covering emergencies, reviewing daily and weekly employee task assignments, training, enforcement of policies, onboarding & interviewing,
Identifying and troubleshooting equipment that is not working properly
Performing maintenance of the washers & dryers such as: clearing drain valves, changing igniter boxes, replacing control switches, etc.
Daily, weekly, and monthly management of our preventative maintenance schedule
Performing scheduled preventative maintenance on the equipment
Ordering and stocking of store use supplies and vending supplies
Handling customer complaints
Management of petty cash and vending machine proceeds
Maintaining a clean, safe and well-run facility
Qualifications and Skills
1+ years of manager experience overseeing multiple employees.
Strong leadership skills
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Must be an organized person and able to keep the laundromat organized.
Must be dependable, honest, and have good observation skills
Able to use hand tools and power tools for performing maintenance on equipment. Prior knowledge of washer & dryer maintenance is not required however a mechanical aptitude is essential
Must have a general familiarity with computers as our point of sale and laundry card systems are computerized
Microsoft Office familiarity (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
Must have dependable transportation
Must have a good driving record to be able to drive a company vehicle for pick-up and delivery
