Lead Hearth Equipment/Fireplace Installer

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Hearth Equipment Installer to join our growing team. This position involves the installation of wood-burning and gas fireplaces, stoves, inserts, and associated venting systems in residential and light commercial settings. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with hearth products, understands mechanical systems, and is committed to safe and high-quality workmanship. NFI, CSIA or related certifications are helpful but not required to start as apprentice.

High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.

Minimum 1–2 years of experience installing wood-burning and/or gas hearth products. Less is ok for apprentice position.

Skilled in the safe use of hand and power tools.

Ability to read and follow technical installation manuals and drawings.

Strong understanding of local building codes, especially those related to fireplaces and gas appliances.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work on roofs, in crawl spaces, or other physically demanding environments.

NFI Certification in Gas and/or Wood Burning Appliances is a strong asset (or willingness to obtain).

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
