Job Description SummaryThe Maintenance Specialist will focus in two specific areas of focus within the maintenance organization, which include Training leader and Scheduler.As Training Leader, the Maintenance Specialist will oversee all training programs, including new employee training and continuing education and will create training standards and documentation for each area of specific training. This role will maintain training records and manage employees to complete training in required time intervals.For the scheduler functions the Maintenance Specialist is responsible for determining which work will be performed and when it will be executed based on established maintenance strategies, business priorities and budgetary guidelines. This role plans and builds schedules to ensure the work can successfully be completed while maximizing resource allocation and minimizing equipment downtime.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage preventative maintenance system and schedule work orders utilizing the Maximo Tool.

Schedule calibrations based off quality management system.

Partner with maintenance management and production management to schedule work aligned with site business imperatives.

Review work requests with Production to identify all potential issues and reduce added scope.

Site Focal for Maximo, computerized maintenance management system. Champion the implementation of all maintenance activities through proactive work order planning as per the defined maintenance strategies.

Review completed work orders for completion and correct documentation per department standards.

Evaluate job feedback to improve future work plans. Site focal for Maximo computerized maintenance management system.

Manage employees’ training schedules. Help develop training documentation. Partner with outside organizations to provide training courses and programs.

Provide oversight and supervision for hourly employees.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (or high school diploma with 4 years of industrial maintenance or project management experience.)

Administrative experience with Maximo or equivalent computer maintenance management system.

Experience with MS Office programs.

Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to demonstrate effective listening, oral and written communication skills.

Must be able to push, pull or lift parts up to 50 lbs. utilizing proper ergonomic procedures.
