Salary: $150,000 - $195,000 annually Description

  • Design, develop, test and support code
  • Interact with remote users to diagnose/debug issues
  • Interact with open-source communities (Linux, FreeBSD, OpenZFS, etc.)
  • Weekly status reports
  • Attending OS team and related meetings
Requirements
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Able to create elegant, efficient, and testable code
  • Proven C language skills
  • Solid understanding of UNIX / Linux Operating Systems (processes, memory, filesystem, networking)
  • Solid understanding of asynchronous and parallel programming
  • Solid understanding of sharing protocols (NFS, iSCSI, SMB)
  • Experience with Linux kernel
  • GitHub and Jira experience
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
  • FreeBSD experience is a big plus
  • Copy-on-write filesystem basic knowledge (ZFS)
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is ideal
  • At least 5 years of experience in the software development industry
