Direct End Client: Department of TransportationJob Title: Mainframe Technical SpecialistDuration: 10 monthsNo. of Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Per WeekStart Date: ASAPLocation: 4101 Capital Blvd, Raleigh, NC - 27614Position Type: ContractInterview Type: In-person/Phone/Webcam Requirement ID: SNCCOBO030MA State of North Carolina: Department of Transportation Project Scope: The Technical Specialist is an Expert Level Systems Specialist to support the NCDOT Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) modernization efforts and perform code evaluations, perform software code analytics, and document the results for the DMV Applications. Responsibilities:Document metrics comparing adherence to Quality and Security Standards between current/existing code and modernized code.Perform Cloud Readiness analysis using the CAST Toolset and document findings for the Development Teams and the Information Security Office.Assist in the CAST Team Analysis of Application Source Code for both Mainframe and Distributed technologies. This includes working with DIT-Transportation Teams to explain Quality and Security Standards Violations captured by the CAST Toolsets as well as answering questions about Standards, Rules, and recommended Remediation paths.Generate and distribute metric reports as requested.Contribute to the Automation of CAST Team backend processes and Maintenance of existing scripts.Provide updates to senior level management and executives on the results of this work effort. Preferred Skills Experience1 year of .NET (C#) 1 years of VB Script 1 years of WinSCP for File Transfer 2 years of user-cantered design.7 years of experience in App development experience in Mainframe or Distributed systems.7 years’ experience Excellent organization and presentation skills7 years’ experience extensive knowledge of software/systems development lifecycle methodologies including SOA methodologies7 years of experience Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain business processes to IT users and IT applications to business users.7 years of experience in excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).7 years proven experience writing clear and concise technical documentation and conveying technical and functional concepts.7 years’ experience with CAST Application Intelligence Platform and CAST Highlight toolsets.7 years of experience in COBOL/CICS/DB2.
