Maintenance Mechanic 3

RRD has immediate openings for seasoned Maintenance Mechanics to work in our Durham, NC facility!  Must be able to work a 2,2,3 day shift, 6:45am - 7:00pm OR 6:45pm-7:00am To successfully maintain a high-speed trading card packaging line featuring Longford friction card feeders, a Syntegon (formerly Doboy) DO-DIY horizontal flow wrapper, and a Shanklin shrink wrapper, a maintenance technician requires a specialized blend of mechanical, electrical, automation, and material-science skills. Because trading cards are highly sensitive to physical damage (bent corners, surface scratches) and environmental factors (static, excessive heat), the technician must possess distinct skills tailored to each piece of machinery.  Responsibilities Maintain organization's production equipmentPerform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failuresRepairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as die cutters, web and sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, bindery equipment etc. using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instrumentsMay repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders or other machine shop equipment
