Normal work schedule is 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, however, there will be times when overtime is required. You will work in a safe and clean manufacturing environment with other team members.The Quality Lab Technician will be responsible to maintain all aspects of the site Quality Program. Conducting safe and efficient operations of the site lab while testing raw materials and finished goods to ensure quality standards are met. They will work with both internal and external auditors to ensure compliance.Responsibilities:Quality:

Completes and analyzes all raw material and final product testing. Flags non

conformances and follows up on corrective actions.

Maintains COAs/testing information for all raw material suppliers and releases raw materials for shipment from suppliers.

Ensure that product returns and non-conforming product are appropriately managed to prevent unintended use, including disposition of held goods (raw, finished) including communication and execution of sampling plans/retesting/etc.

Releases final product for shipment based on release test data.

Completes special releases for off spec product and obtains required approvals.

Leads LIMS implementation and future quality improvements.

Conducts raw and finished product sample preparation using hand tools, power tools, and a CNC machine.

Lab:

Writes and implements lab and quality procedures. Implement testing changes and best practices.

ASTM member - reviews and votes on proposed standards.

Manages and ensures the safe and efficient operation of the QC lab on a continuous basis.

Manages lab testing supplies and equipment including new purchases and install.

Troubleshoots lab equipment.

Calibrates and maintains all lab equipment and plant quality tools (scales, gauges, etc) - Obtains quotes, POs.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

Higher education in a Quality or Laboratory field preferred

3+ year manufacturing experience required

Quality and Lab experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
