Job title: Material HandlerShift: 1st shiftThe Material Handler position is responsible for efficiently handling materials coming from Manufacturing and outside Suppliers that is being processed into our Assembly Plants and being sent to our customers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Be proficient and knowledgeable about safely operating an electric pallet jack, stand-up reach truck, clamp truck and sit-down swing reach truck.

Complete a daily safety/maintenance checklist on the material handling equipment at the beginning of each shift. Ensure all safety equipment and devices are in place and working properly.

Safely operate all material handling equipment within the plant to prevent damage or personal injury.

Unload inbound trucks, warehouse materials, supply production lines, and load outbound shipments.

Utilize safety precautions and guidelines to ensure each trailer is safe to load/unload.

Properly unitize and mark materials.

Load various pallets to maximize trailer utilization while minimizing transit damage.

Complete all paperwork associated with the movement of materials with accuracy and efficiency.

Will us an RF Scanner to load, unload, and moving items within the warehouse.

Maintain accurate inventory of all materials; perform daily cycle counts.

Assist in other areas as needed to maintain a tram approach.

Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.

Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Overtime is required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must have at least two years forklift experience and have proficient math skills. Experience with scanners a plus but is not mandatory.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of and basic computer skills

High school diploma or GED minimum
