Mechanical Design Engineer

Manufacturer of industrial (large) woodworking machinery is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with the following credentials:

Design experience with material handling systems is a MUST. We manufacture high production machinery that use in-feed and out-feed systems. The material handling systems use conveyors to move wood, turn wood, stack wood, singulate wood parts etc and this is an integral part of what this design engineering position requires.

Must be proficient in Machinery Engineering and Design.

Must have experience with AutoCAD & Pro Engineer/Creo software programs

Will be designing machinery from the beginning to end

Some experience with design of electrical, air and hydraulic systems related to industrial machinery (would be a plus)

Ability to work and negotiate pricing with vendors and to perform review and costing for machinery being designed

Ability to work as a team with other professionals
