The role of the entry-level Mechanical Engineer is to investigate reported issues, design, and implement solutions with a focus on to reliability, maintainability, and cost.This role will require the successful candidate to have a foundation in root cause analysis skills, mechanical design, manufacturing practices, and the ability to work on smaller projects or task-related activities.What You Will Do:

Design mechanical solutions with a focus on product reliability, maintainability, manufacturability, and cost

Responsible for closing project tasks within the required timeframe

Presents solutions in review meetings and participates in review meetings to provide constructive feedback on design proposals

Able to communicate with parties within and outside of their own discipline. May have responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.)

Perform root cause analyses and develops corrective actions for in-service issues

Conducts/ coordinates reliability testing, abuse load testing and as circumstances dictate, may participate in, or coordinate certification testing

Ability to communicate with parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures, and practices

Support the implementation of processes or standards to improve new products and continuous improvement activities

Qualifications You Must Have:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

Ability to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of root cause analysis and field investigations

Knowledge of GD&T and drafting practices

Knowledge of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) tools, mechanical design, and manufacturing principles – Siemens NX preferred

Knowledge of aerospace materials

Knowledge of aircraft seating and certification requirements preferred

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience preferred

A university degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
