Microsoft Exchange Server Administrator to add to its team in support of the United States Postal Service's Information Technology support program. The successful candidate will experience an unparalleled large-scale enterprise environment with over 800 Information Technology systems, 10s of 1000s of servers and desktop devices, processing billions of dollars in annual revenue and supporting a diverse user base spread across the entire US. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will support the enterprise exchange mail server environment in all aspects including design, implementation, administration, and troubleshooting. Key responsibilities include:
  • The Exchange Administrator will work with the client teams that are responsible for project related Exchange activities and be a technical lead for Microsoft Exchange projects.
  • Duties include creating PowerShell scripts for, custom software implementations and configurations, and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Responding to change requests and tickets related to the exchange environment.
  • Effectively collaborate with colleagues and counterparts internally and externally.
  • Provides technical assistance and advice on complex activities.
  • Formulates / defines specifications, develops / modifies / maintains complex systems and subsystems, using vendor engineering releases and utilities for overall operational systems.

Required Qualifications:
  • BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • Strong communication skills in dealing with various stakeholders (technical and functional).
  • 5+ years of experience with email engineering and administration of Microsoft Exchange 2016, 2013, and Microsoft Outlook 2016, 2013
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Hands on experience operating in a large Microsoft Exchange 2013 environment and its interaction with Active Directory
  • Experience managing and monitoring Office 365 services and hybrid infrastructure
  • Advanced skills managing Exchange/Office 365 using PowerShell
  • Lync and Skype for Business Administration
  • Lync / Skype for Business Engineering and Design
  • Knowledge of Office 365 Teams/Groups/Power BI/OneDrive
  • Knowledge of Office 365 Governance and Best Practices
  • Knowledge and Experience with SharePoint and SharePoint On-Line
  • Knowledge and Experience with Web Conferencing Platforms, especially WebEx, Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Knowledge and experience with ServiceNow for incident management, Change Tracking and Knowledgebase sharing.
  • Ability to produce written statuses, communication, and documentation
  • Ability and experience troubleshooting Microsoft Applications and Servers
  • Experience with Internet Information Server
  • Understanding of Windows Server 2012 R2
  • Understanding of Windows 10 / 11
  • Understanding of operating system hardening
  • Experience with email security appliances (e.g. Proofpoint).

Desired Qualifications:
  • Office 365 experience and certs (MCSA: Office 365 certification) is a plus.

Candidates must be able to obtain a Postal Sensitive Clearance (ship or Green Card required). Additionally, candidates must not have traveled outside of the USA for a combined period not to exceed 6 months within the last 5 years.
