NAVAIR IOP Digital Project ManagerLocation: Navy Fleet Center in Cherry Point, NC/REMOTEPeriod of Performance: Start immediately to support a multi-year contract SummaryNAVAIR’s Infrastructure Optimization Plan (IOP) provides the US Navy with the organic depots needed to maintain and modernize Naval Aviation’s aircraft, engines, components and support equipment. It sets the initial requirements for recapitalizing the infrastructure at NAVAIR’s three organic depots to include restoring needed depot facilities, replacing obsolete capital equipment, and optimizing the depot’s physical layout to improve workflow. The Project Manager will serve as the principle POC for a regional NAVAIR IOP project. The PM will work independently, organizing and participating in a team of government and contractor functional/technical experts that will assist in the planning and managing of deliverables for the NAVAIR Infrastructure Optimization Plan.ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary point of contact for the NAVAIR Infrastructure Optimization Plan in one of the 3 FRC's. Lead and manage the project to deliver the new capabilities and realization of value. Manage the subcontractors, establish and publish clear priorities for the team activities, coordinate the project effectively and establish the required program governance model. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience- Bachelor's Degree
- Digital Roadmap experience
- Strong understanding of IoT Technology
- Previous work in the military or aerospace industries preferred
- Ability to articulate all aspects of Naval Aviation Depot business processes, value chain, data model requirements and associated technical requirements
- Advanced-level knowledge of and skill to apply a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to assess and improve program effectiveness or to improve complex management processes and systems
- Advanced-level knowledge and skill in communicating orally and in writing to prepare presentations, briefings and talks to high-ranking military and civilian managers
- Advanced-level skill to plan, organize and team effectively with various levels of NAVAIR agencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Detailed-oriented, self-driven, able to work well within a team that supports a fluid, dynamic environment
- Ability to think independently with minimal oversight, as well as demonstrate exceptional written and oral communications skills
- Exemplary customer/client management skills and techniques.
