(a wholly-owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc.), you will perform a variety of repetitive processes using varied machines and/or hand tools to complete the assembly and/or sub-assembly ofcomponent parts to achieve a finished coupling assembly. May be assigned to various hand assembly, pressing, plating, brazing, and/or cleaning of component parts. Visually inspect parts as processed. Proceeds on assignments withminimal supervision and/or direction.Employee benefit details :Hours: MAKE YOUR OWN SCHEDULE! Must work at least 8 hours per pay period (every two weeks) within the standard hours of 2nd shift: M-F, 3PM - 11PM.This is a part time temporary Caterpillar position intended to support the full time production workforce.Shift: 2nd Shift Part Time Flex ScheduleStarting pay rate: $15.00/hour + $0.75/hour night shift premiumWork location: Goldsboro, NCLimited benefit package (eligible for Employee Assistance Program and Wellness Program)Growth opportunities: Flex workers are eligible to apply for full-time or part-time positions as they become available at the facility.Potential for quarterly payout based upon business goals/results.No need to ask for days off - you make your own schedule within the guidelines noted above.Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :Identify tooling and equipment necessary to perform assigned operationFollow start up and shut down procedures on all equipment, monitor and adjust equipment as necessary and record sameMove materials as required using a variety of different ways or meansPerform various assembly or sub-assembly processes including but not limited to ringing, naming, and hand assemblyMaintain records relating to production, downtime, quality, maintenance, etc.Ensure that all quality standards are met by visually inspecting work and/or with measuring devicesRecognize operating irregularities and machine malfunctions and make corrections or notify the proper person to correctPerform rework as necessaryPerform machine set-up as requiredInstruct and train assigned operators on work tasks, safety procedures, proper use of equipment and the importance of performing to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality standardsPerform preventative maintenance on equipment as requiredMeet or exceed production requirements or notify Team Lead or Manager of reason of deviation from standardWork safely at all times and comply with safety regulations regarding the use of protective equipment and devicesKeep work area, equipment, machine, etc. clean and orderly at all timesPerform necessary computer transactions in various computer applications and software programsOffer suggestions for improving productivity, process, safety, or work environmentPerform other miscellaneous job assignments and related functions as directed by Team Lead, Manager or other designated personMust perform as a team member with the willingness and attitude to work with others to resolve problems.
