The Position:This position will be responsible for the programming, testing and documentation of their respective assigned application systems. Alignment of application developers with specific business areas will be done to promote more in-depth business knowledge for better systems development.Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serves as the development tool administrator and is responsible for loading and testing the latest maintenance release.
  • Take the lead in web application development. Applications will include dynamic interfaces into corporate databases. Knowledge of database principles underlies this responsibility.
  • Responsible for the installation and configuration of the corporate web servers in conjunction with technical services.
  • Coordinates technical issues with technical services personnel representing the interests of applications development.
  • Responsible for advocating the use of new technology and spearheads new development efforts under the approval of the Application Development Manager and IT Director.
  • Possess the highest level of proficiency on technical aspects in the application development area, including desktop and web environments, and will provide responsible leadership in system architecture planning and early implementation of new technology.
  • Expected to work with minimal supervision advising the Manager, Application Development of project(s) status, etc., as required.
  • Responsible for web application development. Applications will include dynamic interfaces into corporate data bases. Knowledge of database design principles underlies this responsibility.
